Next to the Maritime Museum is a sculpture of a large frog at the base of a pond captivating three children, The sculpture is surrounded with flowers and swamp grass. It was created by French sculptor Max Blenda (Макс Бленда) in the second half of the 18th century.[1]

Facing the theater, on the right is a garden of flowers and Japanese trees. A fountain sits in the garden. This garden is a favorite location for newlyweds to have their pictures taken.

It is tradition to have newlyweds have their picture taken with one particular special Japanese tree.
