Russian: 10 Апреля Площадь

This roundabout with a large obelisk at the southern base of Pobedeh Park (Парк Победы), is called April 10th, in memory of the April 10th, 1944, the day when Odessa was liberated from Nazi invaders. It was unveiled on April 10th, 1984.

Order of Lenin medalAt the base of the obelisk are two squares, both have the Order of Lenin medal and the "Gold Star" medal, the highest Soviet decoration, awarded to the city of Odessa for its defense against Nazis during World War two.

Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR, awarding the city of Odessa with the Lenin Order and Golden Star Medal.
For the outstanding services to Motherland, courage and heroism demonstrated by the working people of Odessa fighting for their freedom with Nazi-fascist invaders, and to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Great Victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, award the city of Odessa with Order of Lenin and Golden Star Medal.
